Eligibility for this NOFO is not restricted. USAID encourages applications from a broad range of interested parties, foreign and domestic non-profit organizations, foreign and domestic for-profit companies that forego profit, faith-based organizations, foundations, academic institutions, civic groups, Public International Organizations, and regional organizations. USAID welcomes applications from organizations that have not previously done business with USAID. Applicants must have established financial management, monitoring and evaluation processes, internal control systems, and policies and procedures that comply with established U.S. Government standards, laws, and regulations. The successful applicant(s) will be subject to a responsibility determination assessment by the Agreement Officer (AO). The Recipient must be a responsible entity. The AO may determine if a pre-award survey is required and, if so, would establish a formal survey team to conduct an examination that will determine whether the prospective Recipient has the necessary organization, experience, accounting and operational controls, and technical skills – or ability to obtain them – in order to achieve the objectives of the program and comply with the terms and conditions of the award.

Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO): 72064923RFA00002 - USAID/Somalias Accelerated Education ActivityUSAID/Somalia is seeking applications for the Accelerated Education Activity to increase access to quality accelerated basic education and non-formal education for out-of-school children and youth in southern Somalia. This Activity will improve learning outcomes for children and youth, strengthen community involvement in and ownership of education, and strengthen local and federal government capacity to oversee the delivery of quality education to marginalized Somali children and youth.
