Grant Description

The Event & Attraction Marketing Grant is administered by the Daviess County Visitors Bureau to assist local non-profit organizations in their marketing and advertising efforts for events that align with the mission of enhancing tourism and community engagement within Daviess County, Indiana. This initiative is aimed at stimulating community spirit, increasing event attendance, and positioning Daviess County as a vibrant destination for both residents and visitors. Eligible applicants must be non-profit organizations classified as 501(c)(3) entities that are either located in or serve Daviess County. To qualify, organizations must have a clear and actionable marketing plan for a specific event occurring within the 2026 calendar year. Applicants must also demonstrate the potential for their event to attract local attendees or visitors to the county. Events supported through this grant must be completed by the end of 2026. Grants of up to $3,000 may be awarded per event or organization. Fundable expenses include digital marketing campaigns such as social media advertisements or website promotions, print collateral like brochures and posters, signage for events, media outreach, and other promotional activities that reach target audiences. Radio advertising, however, is explicitly excluded from eligibility due to an existing broadcast sponsorship with Shake Broadcasting. To apply, organizations must complete the Advertising Assistance Grant Application Form available on the Daviess County Visitors Bureau website. The application must include a project proposal that describes the event and its audience, a detailed budget, any available evidence of community support or partnerships, and a plan to assess the success and community impact of the event. All applications will be reviewed by the Daviess County Tourism Commission. Evaluation criteria include the strength and feasibility of the marketing plan, expected impact on community engagement and tourism, and the credibility of the proposed budget. The application deadline is May 31, 2026. Successful applicants will be notified by June 30, 2026, and must sign a grant agreement acknowledging the terms and responsibilities of the award. Upon completion of the event, all grantees are required to submit a final report within 30 days. This report must detail attendance, participant feedback, an accounting of expenses with receipts, and any promotional materials or photographs from the event. These requirements ensure transparency and allow the Visitors Bureau to assess the effectiveness of the grant program in enhancing local tourism and community involvement.
