Steele Children's Research Center
Angel Charity for Children committed $800,000 to fund the renovation of five laboratories and one research office space at the Angel Charity for Children Wings for Genetic Research. The existing labs have been well-used for over 30 years and have exceeded their lifespan. With the lab renovations, the physician scientists, students, and researchers at Steele Children's Research Center will be able to conduct state-of-the art genomic sequencing for up to 1,500 children annually, enabling physicians to use genetics as a front-end diagnostic tool by providing earlier detection of a variety of diseases.

Angel Charity awarded $63,300 for the creation of the Educational Community Home Outreach (ECHO) Pilot Program at Nash Elementary school located in high-need zip codes. This program is based on a successful model that provides no-cost after-school programming, enrichment and sports programs, summer academic achievement classes, and other community outreach services for elementary aged children, their siblings, and families. This program will directly benefit over 900 children in the Amphitheater Public School District.

Treasures 4 Educators Inc dba Treasures 4 Teachers of Tucson
Angel Charity awarded $25,000 to provide membership scholarships to 100 teachers and allow for the hiring of a part time Development Coordinator to focus on fundraising and community engagement. Angel funding will also expand the reach of the Treasures 4 Teachers Mobile Program to six Title I schools in Pima County. Teacher memberships ($35 per year) allow teachers to shop an unlimited number of times each year and select all the various supplies they need for the students in their classrooms.
