Pfizer’s Global Medical Grants & Partnerships (GMGP) program has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) titled "Expanding Access to Maternal Immunization Resources and Point-of-Care Tools." This competitive grant is designed to support hyper-local U.S.-based organizations working with maternal care professionals to enhance the accessibility and effectiveness of educational materials and point-of-care tools aimed at increasing maternal immunization rates. The program is focused particularly on underserved communities that face disproportionate impacts from vaccine-preventable diseases.
This initiative emphasizes the development or adaptation of culturally and linguistically appropriate educational materials and tools tailored for different types of maternal care providers, such as midwives, doulas, and community health workers. Proposals should aim to support patient-provider shared decision-making and address vaccine confidence through evidence-based practices. Tools and educational content are encouraged to incorporate the patient’s perspective and be adaptable to the unique cultural needs of the community served.
Eligible applicants include a broad array of healthcare-related organizations such as medical, dental, nursing, allied health, and pharmacy schools, healthcare institutions, professional medical societies, and medical education companies. Individual applicants and independent medical practice groups are not eligible. Applicants must be legally able to accept funds directly from Pfizer and, if offering continuing education credits, must be accredited to do so.
Applicants must submit a full project proposal via the Pfizer CyberGrants portal. The proposal should include sections on goals and objectives, needs assessment, target audience, project methods, innovation, evaluation strategies, dissemination plans, and detailed budget information. Applications must follow a specific format and not exceed 15 pages (exclusive of references). Late or non-compliant submissions will not be considered.
Key deadlines for this funding opportunity include an application due date of May 14, 2025, with award notifications anticipated by June 11, 2025. Projects are expected to begin by mid-July 2025 and run for up to 12 months. The total available funding for this RFP is $100,000, with individual awards capped at $25,000, including overhead costs up to 28%.
Questions regarding the RFP should be directed to Monika Sojewska at monika.sojewska@pfizer.com. All communication must include the subject line “Expanding Access to Maternal Immunization Resources and Point-of-Care Tools.” Applicants are encouraged to consult Pfizer’s core grant agreement terms prior to submission, as no modifications will be accepted unless legally mandated.
