Grant Description

The Orlando Magic Youth Foundation, through its leadership team, has established the Linda Landman Gonzalez Leadership Grant in honor of Linda Landman Gonzalez’s impactful career in nonprofit service and leadership. Linda has made substantial contributions to both the Orlando Magic and the nonprofit community, serving as a mentor and beacon for other nonprofit leaders. This grant reflects her enduring legacy and is intended to cultivate the next generation of nonprofit leaders who share her passion and integrity. This grant is tailored for individuals with a demonstrated history of leadership within the nonprofit sector. To qualify, applicants must be affiliated with a 501(c)(3) organization and possess a minimum of five years of leadership experience. Eligible applicants must serve communities within one or more of the following Florida counties: Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole, or Volusia. Additional desired traits include a commitment to ethical leadership, the ability to inspire and collaborate across sectors, and an innovative spirit. The award package includes a comprehensive professional development experience. Recipients will enroll in the Nonprofit Executive Leadership Certificate program at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. The program encompasses four key courses, two of which are attended in person, with associated travel costs covered by the grant. Additionally, the recipient will receive a three-year all-access membership to the NonProfit Learning Lab and a $1,000 administrative grant to their organization. A flexible $10,000 stipend is provided to support further professional development activities such as conferences, trainings, or coaching. Recipients must complete the certificate program within one year and participate in a series of leadership surveys at specific intervals: at the beginning, mid-year, and at one, three, and five-year marks. These requirements aim to track the impact and growth resulting from the grant support and the leadership journey of the grantee. The grant application period opens on October 15, 2025, and closes on November 19, 2025. Award announcements will be made in January or February of 2026. The Orlando Magic Youth Foundation supports a broad range of youth-focused nonprofit initiatives, with an emphasis on arts, education, health and wellness, and homelessness.
