Season for Sharing Grant
This grant provides financial support to Arizona nonprofit organizations that help children and families, promote arts and education, and assist older adults in Maricopa and Pinal counties.
Season for Sharing is an annual philanthropic campaign led by The Arizona Republic and azcentral.com, in partnership with the Arizona Community Foundation and the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust. This collaborative initiative supports nonprofit organizations serving vulnerable and underserved populations in Arizona, with a primary focus on Maricopa and Pinal counties. The program’s mission is to raise awareness and distribute funds to community-based organizations that deliver essential services and supports, particularly during the holiday season. The 2025 Season for Sharing grant cycle prioritizes initiatives within three core areas: Children & Families, Arts & Education, and Older Adults. Within the Children & Families category, funding will support programs addressing child abuse prevention, foster care placement support, food insecurity, emergency housing, domestic violence, and access to healthcare and job training. The Arts & Education category includes early childhood education, academic enrichment, school readiness, and literacy programs. Support for older adults includes Alzheimer’s services, meal and nutrition programs, affordable housing, and healthcare access. Organizations may apply for grants between $7,500 and $50,000. New applicants are limited to $7,500. Returning grantees may request an amount up to 50% higher than their last awarded grant. Organizations may only apply under one of the three program categories. Proposals must serve Arizona residents and align with one of the priority funding areas. Faith-based entities may apply only for nonsectarian programs. Ineligible applicants include recreational programs, disease-specific agencies, capital projects, summer camps, and schools. Applications open on October 13, 2025, and close promptly at 4:00 PM on November 21, 2025. All applications must be submitted online via the Arizona Community Foundation’s grants portal. Applicants must create or update an organizational profile before submission. ACF encourages early submission to ensure access to technical support. Final funding decisions will be made by the Giving Committee by February 2026, and grantees will be notified in April 2026. Evaluation will be based on project alignment with focus areas, demonstrated need, and community impact. Required documentation includes a detailed program narrative, budget, demographic information, and board roster. Successful applicants must agree to provide mid-term and final impact reports, due in October 2026 and April 2027, respectively. Reports should include either a compelling narrative or video highlighting the outcomes of the funded program. For questions or technical support, applicants are encouraged to contact the Arizona Community Foundation’s Competitive Grants Management Team at grants@azfoundation.org or by phone at 602-381-1400 well ahead of the deadline.
