The City of Goodyear’s Community Funding Program for FY2025-2026 is currently open for applications through May 11, 2025. This program invites nonprofit organizations that provide human or social services benefiting Goodyear residents to apply for funding. Applications must demonstrate how the proposed services address community priorities without duplicating services already provided by the city or other organizations. Applicants must be able to track and report the number of Goodyear residents served.
The total funding anticipated for the FY26 cycle is approximately $214,400, with past awards ranging from $1,500 to $30,000. While there is no formal match requirement, applicants must submit a program- or project-specific budget that shows both the amount requested and the total funding needed to execute the program, reflecting how city funds will be leveraged. Programs that involve inherently religious activities must separate such activities from the funded services both in time and location, and faith-based organizations must not require participation in religious activities nor discriminate based on religion.
Applications must be submitted through the Euna Grants (eCivis) platform. Key required attachments include the Authorized Representative Acknowledgement Form, current board list with home city and zip codes, a recent board-approved treasurer's report or audit, and a detailed program budget. Applicants must also describe how their program addresses the funding priorities, demonstrate the need for services in Goodyear, explain sustainability plans post-funding, and forecast the number of Goodyear residents or households served.
A pre-application webinar is available on demand to assist applicants. City staff will review applications for eligibility and completeness. A subcommittee of three City Council members will evaluate eligible applications and recommend funding decisions, which will then be approved at a regular City Council meeting. Award notifications and check distributions are expected in late July or early August 2025.
Successful applicants are required to submit a six-month progress and financial report due the third Monday in January, and a final report due the third Monday in July via the eCivis platform. Any technical difficulties with the Euna Grants portal are the applicant’s responsibility to address before the submission deadline.
