The Foundation also administers an invitation-only Strategic Project Grant program for large-scale, high-impact initiatives. These grants typically support distinct one-time projects at institutions with operating budgets over $5 million. While this track is not currently open for applications, it supports transformational work such as program launches, medical research, infrastructure, and public education initiatives aligned with the Foundation’s mission. There is no matching requirement for either grant type. Budgets may include reasonable overhead or indirect costs as long as they are clearly detailed. Applications are limited to one per organization within a 12-month period unless the organization is explicitly invited to apply again.
