Grant Description

The Small Business Grant offers $50,000 in funding to 10 diverse-led businesses in Southern California, with each business receiving a $5,000 cash award and a full tuition scholarship to a Founders First CDC business accelerator program. Applicants must provide detailed business information, including an organization chart, Profit and Loss statement, and a short pitch video. Eligible businesses must be for-profit, have annual revenues between $100K and $5 million, and be located in specified Southern California regions. The program supports businesses that can add 1-2 net new premium wage jobs within the next 12 months. This grant is open to businesses led by founders identifying as Latino, Black, Asian, Women, LGBTQ+, Military Veterans, or those located in Low to Moderate Income areas. Applications open on October 15, 2024, with semi-finalists selected in November 2024 and finalists announced in December 2024.
