Grant Description

The United Way of Logan County is accepting applications for its 2026 Funded Agency Allocations program, offering local nonprofit agencies the opportunity to receive funding to support programming that aligns with the organization's mission. United Way's mission is to improve the health, education, and financial stability of every individual in Logan County, Ohio. Applications must be submitted online no later than Monday, September 30, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. The program is open to organizations that directly address prioritized community needs as outlined in the United Way Strategic Plan and Community Needs Assessment. United Way funding must be used strictly for programming costs and may not be applied to administrative, general management, or fundraising expenses. The grant supports a broad range of community impact areas including mental health services, substance abuse prevention, rent and utility assistance, workforce development, healthy living initiatives, poverty reduction, educational enrichment, elder care, and access to healthcare. Selected programs should demonstrate long-term benefit, coordination with other services, and measurable community outcomes. Organizations receiving $25,000 or more in United Way funding are required to complete a mid-term Funded Program Report in June prior to receiving their next disbursement. Additionally, all grantees must comply with the “Agreement with Funded Agencies” found in the United Way Code of Regulations. These regulations outline the fiduciary, operational, and reporting standards required of funded partners. All applicants are encouraged to review the application questions in advance to ensure complete and timely submission. The grant review process includes a scheduled “Agency Hearing Day,” during which selected applicants will be invited to present a 15-minute pitch to the Allocations Committee. This will take place on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, between noon and 5:00 p.m. at the Mary Rutan Health Center Conference Room in Bellefontaine. Final funding decisions will be made by the United Way Board on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. Agencies will be notified of the results no later than Monday, December 1, 2025. Applicants needing technical assistance with the online application portal are encouraged to contact Becca at United Way of Logan County via phone or email. The online system is the sole method for submission, and no paper applications will be accepted.
