The Landfall Foundation offers Micro and Macro Grants to support nonprofit organizations and schools located in New Hanover, Pender, and Brunswick counties of North Carolina. These grants aim to fund impactful projects in the areas of arts, health and welfare, and education. Eligible applicants must be nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status or schools, with each type having a distinct application process.
Micro Grants are available for funding requests up to $10,000 and are ideal for smaller programs, projects, or capital improvements under $10,000. Macro Grants range from $10,001 to $50,000 and are designed for high-impact initiatives or transformative capital projects, including major facility improvements or equipment purchases. Approximately three to five Macro Grants will be awarded each year.
Applications are accepted from March 31, 2025, through May 16, 2025, through the foundation's online portal. Grant award notifications will be sent by September 26, 2025, and funds will be distributed by November 6, 2025. Organizations that received a grant in 2024 must submit a Project Report by May 16, 2025, to be eligible for the 2025 grant cycle.
Grants cannot be used for operating expenses, administrative costs, debt payments, real estate purchases, research, feasibility studies, or political or religious activities. Start-up organizations (those with IRS tax-exempt status less than two years old) and private non-operating foundations are also ineligible.
