Seattle CBO Affordable Housing Grant Program
This grant provides funding to Seattle-based community organizations focused on developing and preserving affordable housing, particularly for those serving communities affected by discriminatory practices and displacement risks.
Enterprise Community Partners, Inc., in partnership with the City of Seattle Office of Housing (OH), has launched the 2025 Seattle CBO Affordable Housing Grant Program. The purpose of this grant is to support Seattle-based Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and Community Development Corporations (CDCs) that are committed to the development, preservation, and stewardship of affordable housing. A total of $1.75 million in funding is available, with individual grants up to $250,000 per organization. The grant will fund eligible predevelopment and capacity-building expenses on a reimbursement basis. Awardees will also engage in a six-month customized technical assistance and training program provided by Enterprise staff and external consultants. Mandatory and optional training sessions will cover topics such as affordable housing development, project financing, property management, and community engagement. Eligible applicants must be CBOs or CDCs located and active in Seattle, registered and in good standing within their state of incorporation, and have a documented mission or board resolution committing to affordable housing development. Grant activities must be conducted in Seattle. Funds are prioritized for organizations that serve communities negatively impacted by discriminatory housing practices, are culturally relevant, and/or seek to address displacement risks. Applications must be submitted via SlideRoom by 9:00 PM Pacific Time on May 2, 2025. An informational webinar will be held on April 16, 2025. Award notifications are expected by May 29, 2025, and the project period will run from June 2, 2025, through December 31, 2025. For questions, applicants can contact seattlecapacitygrant@enterprisecommunity.org. Applicants must also complete an intake interview as part of the evaluation process.
