Grant Description

The City of Santa Barbara is accepting proposals for its Fiscal Years 2026 and 2027 Human Services Grant Funding and Fiscal Year 2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Programs. Approximately $1.6 million in funding is available to support local nonprofit organizations providing social services, infrastructure improvements, rehabilitation projects, or economic development initiatives that benefit low- and moderate-income residents of the City of Santa Barbara. Eligible applicants must attend a mandatory Application Workshop in order to apply. Two workshops are scheduled on November 14, 2024, at the David Gebhard Meeting Room (630 Garden Street): one at 10:00 a.m. for Public Service, Human Service, and Economic Development applicants, and another at 11:00 a.m. for CDBG Capital applicants. Only staff directly involved in grant preparation may attend. Applications can be accessed online beginning November 12, 2024, at the City’s funding application portal and must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on December 12, 2024. Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered, and submission does not guarantee funding.
