Grant Description

The Troy Foundation offers Quarterly Grants designed to support projects and programs that enhance the quality of life for residents of Troy, Ohio. These grants are reviewed quarterly by the Foundation’s Distribution Committee on the third Thursday of March, June, September, and December. The grants are available to charitable organizations working in a wide array of fields, including arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environment, health, human services, and recreation. To be eligible, applicants must ensure that their programs benefit the residents of Troy, Ohio. While the primary geographic focus is Troy, applications from outside areas may be considered if the proposed program serves a significant population within the city. All applicants must submit a completed and signed application through the Foundation’s online portal. The submission must include all necessary supporting documentation and be received by 11:59 PM on the 15th day of the month prior to the grant review meeting. Projects with a total budget of $2,000 or less may qualify for the simplified Mini Grant process. This version of the application has the same deadlines and notification procedures as the regular grant process but requires less documentation. Regardless of the grant type, applicants are encouraged to consult the Grant Application Guidelines for a detailed outline of requirements and to contact the Grants Manager for assistance with eligibility and application preparation. Applicants will be notified of the Distribution Committee’s decision within ten days following the review meeting. Successful applicants must complete a Grant Acceptance Form before receiving funds and are required to submit a Final Report Narrative within ninety days of receiving the grant or upon project completion, whichever comes first. The grant application schedule for 2025 includes four deadlines: February 18th (for March review), May 15th (for June review), August 15th (for September review), and November 17th (for December review). Applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM on the respective due dates.
