Troy Foundation Grants
This grant provides financial support to charitable organizations that implement projects enhancing the quality of life for residents in Troy, Ohio, across various fields such as arts, education, health, and community development.
The Troy Foundation offers Quarterly Grants to support charitable initiatives that benefit residents of Troy, Ohio. These grants are administered by the Foundation’s Distribution Committee, which reviews applications quarterly in March, June, September, and December. The Foundation is a community-based grantmaker focused on enhancing the quality of life for Troy residents by funding a diverse range of programs and projects across several fields, including arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environment, health, human services, and recreation. Programs originating outside of Troy may also be considered if they demonstrate a substantial benefit to Troy's population. Applications for the Quarterly Grants must be submitted via The Troy Foundation's online grants portal by 4:00 PM on the 15th of the month preceding each review meeting. The review meetings occur on the third Thursday of March, June, September, and December. For example, an application intended for the March review must be submitted by February 15. Late or incomplete applications are not eligible for consideration. Detailed requirements for the proposal are outlined in the Grant Application Guidelines, which all applicants are advised to consult. A simplified application process is available for projects with a total budget of $2,000 or less through the Mini Grant option. Although the submission deadlines and notification process are the same, Mini Grant applicants may omit some of the documentation required of general applicants. Each grant proposal must include a comprehensive program narrative that describes the project’s purpose, its objectives, the target population, collaborations, sustainability plans, and evaluation methods. Applicants must also provide detailed information about the organization, governance structure, key personnel, project budget, and all relevant supporting documentation. If the applicant has not previously received funding from the Foundation, additional documentation such as a tax determination letter and recent financial statements may be required. The Foundation values clarity and completeness in submissions. Evaluation criteria focus on the documented local need, expected impact, feasibility, collaboration, sustainability, and overall alignment with the Foundation's mission to improve the Troy community. Applicants will be notified of the Distribution Committee’s decision within 10 days of the grant review meeting. Approved applicants are required to submit a Grant Acceptance Form prior to fund disbursement, and a Final Report Narrative must be submitted within 90 days of receiving the grant or upon completion of the funded project. The program operates on a recurring quarterly cycle, with the next deadlines scheduled for February 16, May 15, August 17, and November 16 in 2026. Interested applicants are encouraged to contact the Foundation’s Grants Manager, Nathan Kleptz, for guidance on eligibility and application requirements. His contact information is [email protected] or (937) 339-8935. This grant opportunity is ideal for charitable organizations aiming to serve the Troy, Ohio community through targeted, impact-driven initiatives.
