Grant Description

The Globe Life Texas Rangers Baseball and Softball Grant Program is an annual initiative operated through a partnership between Globe Life and the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation. This grant supports nonprofit baseball and softball programs across five U.S. states: Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Arkansas. Established in 2012, the program aims to foster the development of youth baseball and softball, helping to ensure children have access to these sports regardless of their background or community resources. The primary objective of the program is to grow the sports of baseball and softball by equipping youth leagues with necessary funding to address operational needs. Grants are awarded to support a variety of activities and necessities, including field renovations, purchasing of sports equipment, uniforms, and the development of leagues. By addressing these core needs, the grant empowers local organizations to provide quality sports experiences to youth aged 18 and under. To date, the program has awarded over $1,125,000 to more than 150 organizations, contributing significantly to community sports infrastructure throughout its targeted regions. The grant process is overseen by the board of the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation, which is responsible for reviewing applications and selecting recipients. Eligibility is restricted to organizations that are recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofits and operate within the specified five-state territory. National organizations that do not directly serve the Texas Rangers' territory are not eligible. Additionally, the grant cannot be used for team travel expenses or tournament fees. Each organization is permitted to submit only one application per calendar year. Applications for the 2025 cycle are due by Friday, June 27, 2025, at 6 PM CST. The recipients will be publicly announced in August 2025. Prospective applicants are encouraged to review the detailed instructions and ensure all required information is included before submission. No specific application questions are provided on the webpage, and no direct contact information is listed. However, applicants are advised to consult the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation or the official website for support and further inquiries.
