Arts in Practice Grants
This funding opportunity supports Virginia schools, nonprofit organizations, and local governments in providing engaging artist-led residencies and workshops to enhance arts education for students and community members.
The Arts in Practice Grants aim to increase opportunities for students, educators, youth, and adult citizens throughout Virginia to engage in short-term artist residencies and promote Virginia teaching artists. These grants enhance arts education by funding in-person, participatory residencies and workshops led by artists listed on the VCA Teaching Artist Roster. The program is rolling, with applications reviewed in the order they are received, and a 15% cash match is required for this grant. Eligible applicants include Virginia federally tax-exempt schools, nonprofit organizations, local and tribal governments, and current VCA Teaching Artists who are permanent Virginia residents. Organizations receiving GOS grants may not apply for these grants, and applicants may apply for no more than two grants within a fiscal year.
