The Arsht-Cannon Fund Quarterly Event Grant supports one-day events designed to increase educational opportunities and access to healthcare for Hispanic Delawareans. Administered by the Delaware Community Foundation, the fund prioritizes programs that are clearly aligned with the Arsht-Cannon Fund’s mission to improve the quality of life for Delaware’s Latino communities.
Grants of up to $5,000 are awarded quarterly, with event proposal deadlines set at least three months in advance of the intended event dates: January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1. The FY26 October cycle opened on September 1, 2025, and closes on October 1, 2025. Applications must be submitted online.
Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, and must demonstrate their capacity to engage Latino communities, including information about bilingual staffing, board participation, and cultural responsiveness. Events must be one-day in nature and focused on Latino health or education. Requested funding may not exceed $5,000, and applications must include a budget, list of collaborators, and clear event outcomes and strategies.
The fund does not support general operating expenses or unrelated programming. A complete submission includes IRS documentation, a current operating budget, a list of board members, and ACH payment information. Applications are reviewed quarterly, and funding is provided via direct deposit upon approval. Past recipients are eligible to reapply, provided they are proposing new, eligible events.
Propose events at least 90 days in advance. Emphasize Latino representation and engagement. Include clear budget justification and relevant collaboration details.
