Grant Description

The AT&T Small Business Contest, part of the "She's Connected by AT&T" initiative, is a nationwide funding opportunity designed to uplift small business owners through financial support, promotional exposure, and community connection. Hosted by AT&T Services, Inc., a major telecommunications provider headquartered in Dallas, Texas, this contest aligns with AT&T’s broader initiative to spotlight and support women entrepreneurs and athletes who are trailblazing paths in business and leadership. The contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are age 18 or older and are the sole or majority owners of a small business. To qualify, businesses must have 50 or fewer full- or part-time employees and be registered in the United States. There is no purchase necessary to enter or win, but an internet connection is required. Before submitting an application, applicants must affirm that they meet all eligibility criteria and have reviewed the full rules and regulations. One Grand Prize winner will receive $50,000 in funding to support their small business, along with a full year of AT&T service and a new device. Additionally, the winner will participate in branded AT&T content and be featured alongside a selected athlete from the #ShesConnected campaign. Four runners-up will receive $5,000 each in prize money. Winners are required to participate in one 8-hour production day and one branded event. If travel is necessary, it will be arranged and paid for by AT&T. As part of their participation, winners agree to allow the use of their name, likeness, and business branding in promotional materials and content shared across AT&T’s platforms. The contest officially opened for submissions on June 9, 2025, at 12:01 am EDT and will close on September 30, 2025, at 11:59 pm EDT. Applications must be submitted through the official contest page. There are no separate pre-application deadlines or letters of intent required for submission. All applicants must complete a series of eligibility confirmations before gaining access to the application form. The contest is part of a broader campaign to highlight women who are creating impact both on and off the field. In 2024, the winner was Aneesa Getaneh, founder of Daisy Medical Institute, a Los Angeles-based organization that provides Certified Nursing Assistant training to emancipated foster youth. With the support of AT&T, the institute expanded its reach and furthered its mission of offering hope, stability, and professional opportunity. For questions or assistance with the application process, prospective applicants are encouraged to reach out via email to attshesconnected@teamwass.com.
