The Community Health Center Grant Program in Massachusetts offers annual grants of up to $50,000 for infrastructure projects aimed at improving community health centers. Eligible projects may include construction, renovation, equipment purchases, furniture upgrades, and technology-related improvements, such as staff training. All licensed community health centers in the state can apply each year, providing a recurring opportunity for facilities to enhance their services and infrastructure.
The Pilot Family Child Care Facilities Grant, managed in collaboration with the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC), supports family childcare providers by funding projects that are permanently integrated into the childcare environment. These projects are designed to help providers increase their enrollment capacity, enhance the quality of care and education, and optimize the physical space to better serve children. To qualify, providers must hold an active EEC license or be in the process of renewal, be in regulatory good standing, have at least two years of licensed childcare experience, and operate out of a home they own.
The grant prohibits the use of funds for administrative expenses, salaries, mortgage or rent payments, utility bills, insurance, or other operational costs. While the deadline for the first round of applications has passed, a second round will open in early 2025, giving providers another opportunity to apply for funding.
