2025 Downtown Event Grant
This grant provides financial support to organizations hosting family-friendly events in Downtown Hagerstown to strengthen community ties and stimulate the local economy.
The FY25 Downtown Event Grant aims to strengthen the connection between the community and Downtown Hagerstown, boost the local economy, foster partnerships, and support community stakeholders. Grants are available to organizations planning family-friendly events on public property within the Main Street or Arts & Entertainment districts of Hagerstown, MD. Grants range from $500 to $3,000 and are provided on a reimbursement basis. Applications must be submitted at least 60 days before the event (For events occurring between July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025) , and the event must be approved by the City, with funds disbursed upon proof of payment. Events must be well-organized, safe, inclusive, and likely to continue in the future. The grant does not cover food or alcohol purchases. This application should be submitted along with the City of Hagerstown Special Events Application, as this grant application will not be considered without it.
