Grant Description

The 2026 Kubota Hometown Proud Grant Program is an initiative sponsored by Kubota Tractor Corporation aimed at empowering nonprofit organizations across the United States with the resources necessary to implement transformative community projects. Building on a tradition of support for rural and community-focused efforts, Kubota offers this program to reinforce its commitment to the well-being and sustainability of local areas through both financial assistance and practical equipment solutions. The program is particularly focused on projects that address agricultural education, community revitalization, and sustainable development. This grant opportunity offers a compelling package: a total award value of $50,000 per selected nonprofit, split equally between a $25,000 cash grant and a $25,000 voucher for Kubota equipment. Ten nonprofit organizations will be selected from across the country, with one winner designated from each eligible region. In addition to monetary support, winners gain a dedicated local Kubota dealer partner who offers expertise, guidance, and technical support to help recipients implement and maintain their projects effectively. This partnership component is a unique differentiator of the program, reinforcing Kubota’s long-term commitment to recipient success. Eligible applicants must be representatives of 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that are financially viable and whose proposed project sites are located within 50 miles of an authorized Kubota dealership. Individuals entering on behalf of an organization must be authorized representatives, such as a board member or executive. Prior recipients of the grant from 2021 to 2025 are not eligible. The application process includes a detailed entry form, answers to three essay questions (each up to 2,000 characters), and a short video (maximum two minutes) showcasing the organization and its project. Applications must be submitted through the official portal at www.kubotahometownproud.com between April 1, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. Central Time and May 7, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time. Essay questions require applicants to describe their community project, how the $25,000 cash grant would be used, and how Kubota equipment would aid their efforts. Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges based on four criteria: community need and impact (25%), alignment with the Kubota brand (25%), project feasibility and sustainability (25%), and effectiveness of the submitted video in conveying the project’s story (25%). Winners will be notified following a judging period that concludes on or about June 30, 2026. Final announcements will be made publicly between September 1 and October 31, 2026. Winning organizations are expected to complete their projects within one year of the award date. The total prize pool for the program is valued at $500,000. There is no matching requirement, and prizes are non-transferable. For tax purposes, organizations must provide proof of 501(c)(3) designation and EIN, and may receive an IRS Form 1099 for the award value. This grant program is an opportunity for eligible nonprofits to gain meaningful support for their local initiatives while leveraging Kubota’s nationwide network of dealers. By combining financial aid with equipment access and technical partnership, the Kubota Hometown Proud Grant Program provides a well-rounded package to help communities grow and thrive.
