The Environmental Response Fund (ERF) provides grants to support the assessment and cleanup of contaminated sites, commonly known as brownfields, in Ramsey County. Who Can Apply: Eligible applicants include: Local governmental organizations For-profit developers Non-profit organizations Please note, ERF grants are not available to non-local government entities that are responsible for the contamination. How to Apply: Applications are accepted twice a year during these periods: March 15 - May 1 September 15 - November 1 Applicants requesting funds for building demolition or deconstruction must include a waste management plan with their proposal. Additionally, a letter or resolution of support from the relevant local unit of government must be provided. Ensure all required documents, such as waste management plans and letters of support, are submitted with your proposal. (Highly recommended not required) Does your project fulfill one or more of the following program priorities? Located in an environmental justice area. Provides affordable housing (60% AMI or below).
