Grant Description

Impact100 SRQ, a Sarasota-based collective giving organization, is offering its 2026 grant cycle to support impactful nonprofit initiatives that directly benefit the communities of Sarasota and Manatee Counties in Florida. Founded on the mission of empowering women to collectively fund transformational projects, Impact100 SRQ awards high-impact grants to nonprofit organizations working in five core focus areas: Arts, Culture & History; Education; Environment, Recreation & Animal Welfare; Family; and Health & Wellness. Membership dues fund these grants annually, and the total number and value of awards vary each year based on membership. The organization prioritizes initiatives that drive measurable change and offer sustainable benefits to local communities. The 2026 application process is structured in five distinct phases. First, interested nonprofits must submit an Eligible to Apply Form by May 1, 2026. This form collects information about organizational structure, financial capacity, initiative scope, and alignment with eligibility guidelines. After a review period, organizations confirmed as eligible will receive a link to the full grant application beginning April 23, 2026, the day after Impact100 SRQ’s "Big Reveal" event. Applications must be submitted by June 30, 2026, at 12:00 noon Eastern Time. The application process includes rigorous reviews by Focus Area and Financial Review Committees, site visits for qualifying proposals, and a finalist presentation during the Annual Celebration in January 2027. The grant funds are designated for new programs or significant expansions of existing ones. Initiatives must be viable, well-defined, and capable of demonstrating high-impact, measurable outcomes. The organization stresses that grant-funded actions must occur strictly within the 24-month performance period beginning upon execution of the Grant Agreement. Impact100 SRQ will not fund existing operations, overhead, or cost-allocated expenses. Eligible costs include direct program costs, capital improvements (with required property rights documentation), and salaries directly tied to the initiative's implementation. Expansion projects must clearly define the scale and impact of the proposed growth, such as increased service population or enhanced program efficacy. To be eligible, applicant organizations must be tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3), registered in Florida as a nonprofit, and in operation for a minimum of 24 months. Organizations must provide comprehensive financial statements and IRS Form 990s for the past two years, along with year-to-date interim statements. Impact100 SRQ reserves the right to disqualify applicants that have received funding in the previous two grant cycles or that are under legal conflicts unless relevant to their operating model. Collaborating entities must also meet all eligibility criteria, with the lead organization serving as the fiscal agent. During the evaluation process, priority is given to proposals that show sustainability beyond the grant period, clear separation of initiative expenses from general operations, and detailed initiative budgets that match the full grant amount. Applicants must provide third-party quotes dated March 1 or later of the application year. For capital projects, proof of property ownership or permissions is mandatory. Applications must also specify a focus area category under which the initiative is submitted. Faith-based programs are considered only if program benefits are not conditional on religious participation and are provided by separate tax-exempt entities. Finalists will be selected following committee reviews and site visits. These organizations will attend a Meet the Finalists event in November 2026 and submit a Wish List as part of the final review process. Winners will be chosen by the voting membership and announced during the January 2027 Annual Celebration. For any inquiries about the application process, applicants are encouraged to contact Impact100 SRQ at [email protected].
