Delta Dental of Kentucky Grant

The Delta Dental of Kentucky Foundation, established by Delta Dental of Kentucky, aims to support improved oral health and general well-being for residents across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Through annual grant funding, the Foundation reinvests in local communities by supporting initiatives that promote dental care, oral health education, and a wide range of community support programs. Since its inception in 2015, the Foundation has awarded over $23 million to various nonprofit organizations and projects throughout Kentucky. The grant program dedicates at least 70 percent of its funding annually to support dental treatment and oral health education. This includes assistance to over 25 dental clinics across the state. These funds are directed toward increasing access to care, delivering preventive and therapeutic services, and improving long-term health outcomes, especially for populations most at-risk and underserved. In addition to its oral health mission, the Foundation allocates up to 30 percent of its grant dollars to general community support initiatives. These include areas such as arts education, cancer research, and services for individuals and families. Through this dual focus, the Foundation aims to strengthen both the health and social infrastructure of Kentucky communities. To be eligible for grant funding, applicants must be tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or otherwise demonstrate they are working for community benefit. Furthermore, applicants must serve or benefit individuals and communities located within the state of Kentucky. The Foundation explicitly excludes individuals, politically affiliated entities, commercial ventures, and organizations that engage in discriminatory practices or have failed to comply with prior documentation requirements. The 2026 grant funding application window opens on August 18, 2025, and closes on September 22, 2025. All applications must be submitted within this period.
