The Omron Foundation Grant

Omron Foundation, Inc. (OFI) is a funder that supports non-profit social betterment organizations and their work in various areas. They provide support for disaster relief efforts, including financial donations to aid organizations and matching employee contributions. OFI also supports organizations that provide basic needs such as food banks and Meals on Wheels programs. In addition, they fund initiatives that help individuals with disabilities, such as Gigi's Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Centers and Little City Center for Employment and Business Opportunities. OFI is committed to improving education in the areas of engineering, science, mathematics, and technology. They have established mechatronics labs at various universities and colleges, including California State University-Chico, University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering, and North Central College. They also provide scholarships at multiple institutions. Health-related initiatives supported by OFI include partnerships with organizations like HealthCorps to promote mental and physical wellness among young people. They also support disease treatment and research efforts through donations to charities like Children's Memorial Hospital. Other supported projects include the restoration of Tatami Mats at Anderson Japanese Gardens, the creation of digital content at the Garden of the Phoenix in Chicago's Jackson Park, and scholarships for language programs such as Concordia Language Villages "Mori no Ike" Japanese Language Village. Applications are considered at any time throughout the year, and interested applicants are encouraged to submit a preliminary application via email. Selected organizations will then be invited to submit a full proposal for funding​
