Innovation in Education STEAM Grant Program
This funding initiative provides $25,000 in grants to support innovative STEAM educational programs in public K-12 schools, districts, and charters throughout San Diego County.
The Classroom of the Future Foundation (CFF), a San Diego-based nonprofit organization, is now accepting applications for its “Innovation in Education” STEAM Grant Program. This program is part of the foundation’s 23rd Annual Innovation in Education Awards, a major event celebrating forward-thinking educational practices within the San Diego County K–12 public education system. The foundation’s mission is to unite business, community, and educational leaders to advance innovation in classrooms across the region. The Innovation in Education STEAM Grant Program provides a total of $25,000 in grant funding annually, supporting innovative STEAM-related programs across public school districts, schools, and charter institutions within San Diego County. Four distinct awards are issued: three grants of $5,000 each for the Inspire, Innovate, and Achieve award categories, and a single $10,000 grant for the prestigious Impact award. These awards recognize exemplary efforts in transforming learning environments through new approaches and creative ideas that align with STEAM education. Applications must be submitted via the Classroom of the Future Foundation’s online grant application form. The deadline for submission is Friday, December 19, 2025, by 11:59 PM Pacific Time. The process is designed to be accessible and time-efficient, with most applicants completing it in under 45 minutes. Eligible applicants include educators, parents, or business leaders who are actively involved with public K–12 schools or districts in the county. Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges in January 2026, with award notifications scheduled for February 2026. The awards will be presented at the 23rd Annual Innovation in Education Awards event on May 14, 2026, at SeaWorld San Diego. Winning programs will be honored in front of an audience of more than 300 educational, business, and community leaders. Awardees will also receive a physical trophy, a 2–3 minute video profile, and visibility through CFF’s website and social media platforms. This grant opportunity is exclusive to K–12 institutions in San Diego County and supports creative and transformative approaches to STEAM education. The funding may be used to support new or existing programs that foster innovation and have measurable impacts on student outcomes. There are no matching funds required, and prior recipients are encouraged to apply again with new or expanded initiatives. Interested applicants are advised to visit the Classroom of the Future Foundation website to access the application form and review evaluation rubrics.
