Applications submitted after this deadline will not be accepted, including those delayed due to technical issues. Grant awards typically range from $500 to $1,500. In the previous grant cycle in 2024, MCCF distributed $3,020 in total funding. Funding for these grants comes from the Foundation’s community grantmaking fund. Applications must be submitted through the North Carolina Community Foundation’s online application system. First-time applicants are instructed to follow Training Module I to create a user profile. Returning applicants can log in using their existing credentials. Once logged in, applicants should follow the directions in Training Module II to submit a new grant application. All applicants must adhere strictly to the application guidelines; failure to do so will render the application ineligible.
Grant decisions are usually announced about two months following the close of the application window. MCCF’s local advisory board uses an annual Community Needs Assessment to guide their funding priorities, and applicants are encouraged to review this document, which is available on the foundation’s website.
