Grant Description

The United Way of Southwest Louisiana (UWSWLA) offers the Community Impact Partnership Grant for the 2025-2026 cycle, supporting local nonprofit organizations that help address key community needs in Southwest Louisiana. The grant prioritizes programs that foster youth opportunities, financial security, community health, and resilience. It also focuses on aiding the ALICE population (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed), ensuring that funded programs help those in the community with limited resources. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations in good standing with the state of Louisiana, operate in at least one of the parishes of Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, or Jefferson Davis, and maintain a physical office in one of these areas. Organizations are required to serve at least one of UWSWLA’s designated focus areas and demonstrate robust diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies as well as a Disaster Management Plan. Additional emphasis is placed on programs with strong financial accountability, transparency, and alignment with UWSWLA’s mission to address critical human needs. The application process begins with a mandatory online Letter of Intent (LOI), open from November 1, 2024, until December 3, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. Only organizations that submit an LOI within this window and meet eligibility requirements will be invited to complete a full application. UWSWLA encourages programs that align with its mission to create lasting changes in community conditions. The organization will provide oversight and support, requiring grant recipients to maintain responsible program management, submit regular financial and program documentation, and report any significant operational changes.
