The Derby Community Foundation (DCF) offers Community Enrichment Grants to support innovative and meaningful projects conducted by tax-exempt nonprofit organizations and government entities within the UDS 260 boundaries. Grants of up to $2,500 are awarded twice annually, with application deadlines on November 22 and May 15. A total of $10,000 is available for grants each year, distributed through a competitive application process.
Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations, schools, church groups, youth organizations, municipal agencies, civic clubs, and public foundations. Projects should align with the DCFβs mission and benefit the local community. The grant does not fund clinical research, capital campaigns, debt relief, real estate purchases, political activities, or projects promoting specific religious denominations. Additionally, organizations that received a grant in the last cycle or within the past five years are ineligible.
Applications must be submitted with the organization's name matching the Tax ID and include only the requested information, as supplemental materials like videos or pamphlets will not be reviewed. A panel of DCF board members and community representatives selects the grant recipients, and decisions are communicated approximately 45 days after the deadline. For questions, applicants can contact DCF at (316) 788-9815 or derby@communitygiving.org.
