The Women’s Foundation of Mississippi (WFM) is dedicated to ensuring economic security for women across the state, especially those experiencing substantial social and economic barriers. As part of this mission, WFM has issued an open call for Letters of Interest (LOIs) for grant funding to support initiatives that align with its core focus areas.
This funding opportunity seeks to support projects that fall within one or more of WFM’s strategic priorities: Healthy Women and Well-Being, Access to Opportunity, and Two-Generation/Whole Family Approaches. Under Healthy Women and Well-Being, WFM is interested in projects that improve access to physical and mental healthcare, increase wellness outcomes, and support community healing and safety. Access to Opportunity includes efforts to enhance educational outcomes for girls and women, provide pathways to employment, and develop leadership and advocacy skills. Projects that support Two-Generation approaches may include those that promote health education for families, economic mobility for parents, family-centered coaching, and intergenerational learning opportunities.
Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations in good standing with the Mississippi Secretary of State Charities Division and must operate within the state of Mississippi. WFM anticipates awarding grants ranging from $20,000 to $50,000 for a 12-month project period. All applicants are required to submit an LOI through the Foundant online grant platform. The LOI should include the organization’s mission, a description of the proposed project and its beneficiaries, justification for the need, the geographic area to be served, and an estimated total project budget.
The LOI portal opens on November 6, 2025, at 1 p.m. Central Time. Q&A sessions for prospective applicants will be held on November 7 and November 10, 2025, both at 11:30 a.m. via Zoom. The deadline to submit the LOI is November 21, 2025, by 11:59 p.m. Organizations invited to apply will be notified by November 26, 2025, and full proposals will be due by December 19, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Final award announcements are scheduled for February 25, 2026.
This grant does not require cost sharing or matching funds. The process begins with an LOI review, and only selected applicants will proceed to submit a full proposal. The review criteria are not detailed in the call, but alignment with WFM’s strategic areas will likely be key. Interested applicants are encouraged to attend the Q&A sessions to clarify eligibility or project fit.
