City of Santa Rosa Community Improvement Grants 2024
This program provides funding to community groups and local organizations in Santa Rosa for projects that improve neighborhoods and foster community engagement, such as clean-ups, public art, and gardens.
The 2024 Community Improvement Grant (CIG) Program offered by the City of Santa Rosa’s Community Advisory Board (CAB) provides funding to community groups, neighborhood associations, schools, and other local entities in Santa Rosa. This grant program aims to foster community building, enhance neighborhoods, and strengthen resident relationships through public improvement projects and community-focused events. Eligible projects must be inclusive, accessible, and free of charge to participants. Grant funds can be used for projects such as community clean-ups, public art, tree planting, neighborhood gardens, and leadership development initiatives, all of which should align with the city’s priorities, including housing, reducing homelessness, promoting public health and safety, economic vibrancy, and environmental sustainability. Each grant provides up to $2,500, which must be matched by funds or in-kind contributions. Applications are accepted quarterly, with deadlines in March, June, September, and November. All submissions are reviewed by CAB, which makes the final grant award decisions. Applications must include a project budget, letters of support, and property permissions if applicable. Once awarded, grantees are required to submit a final report detailing project completion and accomplishments. For further assistance, applicants can contact CAB at communityengagement@srcity.org.
