The Women's Giving Circle (WGC), a fund held by the Eau Claire Community Foundation (ECCF), provides grants to support programs that directly benefit women and/or children residing in Eau Claire County, Wisconsin. The WGC operates independently from ECCFβs broader Community Grant Cycle, offering a unique funding opportunity specifically focused on these populations.
The grant application cycle for 2025 opens in April and applications must be submitted by noon on June 2, 2025. Grant recipients will be announced in early to mid-November, and awarded funds will be disbursed in December. Grants may request up to $7,500 and must be used within the calendar year following the award, from January 1 to December 31.
Eligibility guidelines stipulate that funded organizations must agree to present the impact of their funded project at one of WGCβs events, either the Gift of Giving Breakfast in December or the Spring Gathering in May. Organizations funded for two consecutive years must wait one year before applying again, but may reapply in the fourth year. Only applications submitted through the ECCF Grant Portal will be considered.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to review the 2025 Women's Giving Circle Grant Writing Guide, which outlines the application process and provides insights into what reviewers seek in responses. Collaboration within the grant application portal is supported, allowing multiple individuals to work together on a submission. Application previews are available for prospective applicants to familiarize themselves with requirements before creating an account.
