FY24 Quality Jobs Pilot Program
This program provides funding to local workforce organizations in Illinois to enhance job quality and training in key industries like healthcare and manufacturing, ultimately benefiting workers and employers alike.
The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) is launching the Job Training Economic Development Program under the Quality Jobs Pilot Program, with a funding pool of $600,000. This program seeks to partner with Local Workforce Innovation Area (LWIA) grantees to promote quality jobs in key industries such as healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, and transportation distribution logistics. The initiative focuses on staff training to identify quality jobs, support for workforce participants in industry-specific training, data collection, and analysis on job outcomes, and potentially employer supports to enhance job quality.
