The Google for Startups Black Founders Fund: Brazil offers cash awards, without requiring equity in return, along with hands-on support to assist Black-led startups in Brazil in building and growing their businesses. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and will be considered for the next round.
About the Initiative:
With over 56% of Brazilians self-identifying as Black, and 29% of them owning their own businesses, Black Brazilian founders encounter unique barriers to entrepreneurship. A significant portion of Black entrepreneurs report being denied credit without explanation, leading many to rely on personal savings or support from family and friends to launch their businesses. The Google for Startups Black Founders Fund addresses this market gap by providing equity-free capital to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses.
