Heron Creek Community Foundation Grant

The Heron Creek Community Foundation has announced its 2025 Grant Cycle, which will be open to all individuals and organizations serving the citizens of North Port, Florida. The Foundation’s mission is to financially support qualified charitable organizations that enhance the quality of life in the North Port community. Grant applicants do not need to be certified 501(c)(3) organizations; however, preference may be given to those with such certification dated no later than January 1, 2025. The Foundation aims to support initiatives that create both immediate and long-term benefits to the community. Their approach is designed to address both reactive and proactive needs in a manner that aligns with the evolving social and economic environment of North Port. The grants committee will evaluate applications with a focus on identifying projects that have the greatest potential for positive local impact. Applications for the 2025 cycle are accepted from August 1, 2025, through September 30, 2025. All applications must be submitted within this period to be considered. The Foundation has not specified the types of projects or funding limits, but their general focus remains on charitable efforts within the local community. Eligibility includes individuals and organizations serving North Port residents. Although not required, 501(c)(3) status by January 1, 2025, may increase an applicant’s competitiveness during evaluation. The Foundation encourages applications from a broad range of sectors that support community well-being.
