Overdose Response Strategy Pilot Projects: Interventions to Prevent Overdose at the Intersection of Public Health and Public Safety
The Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), Executive Office of the President, is seeking applications from a non-profit entity as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code with expert knowledge and extensive experience in: (1) Supporting the development and implementation of local pilot projects to reduce overdose and related harms for individuals interacting with first responders and the criminal justice system; and (2) Working collaboratively with multi-sector partners and people with lived and living experience to innovative strategies at the intersection of public health and public safety that focus on saving lives and reducing harm.

ONDCP invites applications from non-profit organizations (including faith-based, community, and Tribal organizations), and institutions of higher learning (including Tribal institutions of higher education) with demonstrated expertise in leading state and local governments in public health and public safety efforts in the following: Assistance Listing #95.007 2 • Knowledge and experience supporting the development and implementation of overdose prevention and harm reduction programs using strategic, evidence-based approaches. • Experience supporting and promoting collaboration between public health and public safety agencies to prevent and respond to drug overdose. • Experience supporting local public health organizations (governmental and/or community). • Established reach or work and influence across the United States. • Demonstrated capacity to administer federal cooperative agreements. ONDCP encourages applications from non-profit organizations with knowledge and experience supporting local organizations to develop and implement overdose prevention and harm reduction programs at the intersection of public health and public safety using strategic, evidence-based approaches, that aim to reduce health disparities and incorporate the perspectives of people with lived and living experience. In order to be eligible to receive funding under this award, recipients must be legally recognized as a nonprofit institution/organization.
