The Women’s Giving Circle (WGC) of the Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley is accepting grant applications from organizations serving Brooke, Hancock, Marshall, Ohio, Tyler, and Wetzel counties in West Virginia, and Belmont and Jefferson counties in Ohio. Grants focus on initiatives that support women’s and girls’ life skills, education, health, safety, personal empowerment, and awareness of gender disparities in the community. Applicants must be tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) or be a similarly exempt government entity.
Grants of up to $5,000 are available, and each organization may submit only one application per cycle. Funding exclusions include religious or political initiatives, capital campaigns, fundraising events, general operational funding, and intermediary funding. Applications are accepted online via Foundant Technologies from the first Monday in November through the second Wednesday in December, with a 5:00 PM deadline.
The WGC Advisory Committee will review applications, with funding announcements expected in February. Funded projects must be completed within 12 months, and final grant reports, submitted through the same online portal, are required to document outcomes.
