Startup Bootcamp is a free, nationwide entrepreneurship program designed by Future Founders to support aspiring business owners aged 18 to 30. The initiative is tailored for early-stage entrepreneurs—individuals who may have a business idea, side hustle, or budding venture but require structured support to take it to the next level. Hosted virtually, Startup Bootcamp combines weekly workshops, community-building sessions, and direct mentorship to help participants develop entrepreneurial skills and grow their networks.
Future Founders is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building inclusive communities of young entrepreneurs. The organization offers multiple programs, including the Startup Bootcamp and a Fellowship for growth-stage entrepreneurs. Through the generous support of sponsoring organizations, all programming is offered free of charge and without equity requirements, ensuring accessibility for diverse and underrepresented entrepreneurs across the United States.
The Startup Bootcamp spans three months, operating weekly from March through November. Participants engage in structured workshops, industry-agnostic skill-building exercises, and community-led discussions. The program concludes with a Pitch Day event, allowing entrepreneurs to present their business ideas to a wider audience. Exceptional participants demonstrating strong traction and intention may be invited to join Phase Two, which includes additional mentorship and business coaching.
Eligibility is open to U.S.-based individuals aged 18 to 30. Co-founders can apply together but must submit individual applications. Applicants must be the primary equity holders and decision-makers within their companies. While virtual, the program includes at least one in-person retreat in Chicago, but relocation is not required. Applications are accepted from all U.S. states, provided the applicant is a U.S. resident.
Applications for the 2026 Startup Bootcamp open in 2025, with two deadlines: early consideration by December 10, 2025, and regular consideration by February 4, 2026. Applications are submitted online, and applicants may email Chris Van Etten to book time before applying. There is no application fee, and the process takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.
There is no cost to participate in Startup Bootcamp, and no equity is taken. The program provides ongoing opportunities beyond its core structure, including access to a national network of mentors and entrepreneurs. The program supports founders from a wide range of backgrounds, with an emphasis on inclusive entrepreneurship and underrepresented groups such as minority, immigrant, veteran, and women entrepreneurs.
Review program info and book time with Chris before applying. Application path is flexible.
