CDC announces the availability of fiscal year 2025 funds for community-based implementation of integrated HIV programs, that complement programs such as the Ryan White program and other Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) programs, within local health department jurisdictions throughout the state of Tennessee. The purpose of this notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) is to implement a comprehensive HIV prevention program to prevent new HIV infections and improve the health of people with HIV. The NOFO aligns with CDCs Division of HIV Prevention (DHP) strategic focus areas to bolster community engagement, health equity, syndemic and whole-person approaches to HIV prevention. Community based organizations (CBOs) are uniquely positioned to complement and extend the reach of HIV prevention efforts implemented by state and local health departments. They support the optimization of services across public, private, and other CBOs to achieve objectives of increased identification of HIV diagnoses, referral for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and non-occupational post-exposure prophylaxis (nPEP) services, earlier entry to HIV care, and increased consistency of care. The NOFO priorities are to increase knowledge of HIV status, reduce HIV transmission, prevent new HIV infections, improve linkage to care and viral suppression.
