The Orlando Magic Youth Foundation (OMYF) supports nonprofit organizations providing youth-focused programs in Central Florida. The Foundation emphasizes four primary areas: Arts, Education, Health & Wellness, and Homelessness. Specific programs previously supported include Rise Arts, City Year, Kyds Cooking Hebni, and Feeding The Homeless.
Eligibility for OMYF grants requires 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt status. Applicants must demonstrate at least one full year of program services and outcomes, serve youth or families with children in Central Florida, and operate within Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole, and/or Volusia counties. Organizations must also present a strong financial position with a required financial audit and have measurable outcomes aligned with OMYF’s focus areas.
Ineligible requests include capital campaigns, endowments, public schools, government agencies, first-year programs, non-programmatic proposals, and programs with a theological teaching component.
The grant process begins with registering the organization on the OMYF Grant Portal and submitting a Letter of Intent (LOI). Only those invited may submit a full application. Late submissions are not accepted under any circumstance.
For the 2025-26 Summer Grant Cycle, the LOI opens on March 19, 2025, and closes April 25, 2025, with the application deadline on May 21, 2025. Award notifications are issued in August 2025. For the Winter Grant Cycle, the LOI opens on October 1, 2025—coinciding with a grant workshop—and closes October 21, 2025. Applications are due November 17, 2025, and awards are announced in February 2026.
A grant workshop will be held on October 1, 2025, offering both in-person and virtual attendance options. RSVPs are required for the in-person session. The virtual session will be hosted on Microsoft Teams with the Meeting ID 279 756 245 570 and passcode mT34rJ9K.
