Grant Opportunity: Community Foundation Annual Grants The Community Foundation Annual Grants provide funding opportunities for organizations in Starke County, Indiana. There is no deadline associated with these grants. 2. NICF Community Support Grants: For projects needing several hundred to several thousand dollars. The grant making areas of interest include education, health, human services, arts & culture, environmental initiatives, community development, recreation, and youth development. The foundation favors projects that reach a broad segment of the community and stimulate additional funding while promoting cooperation and avoiding duplication of effort. However, the foundation places a lower priority on projects where they are the sole funder, reduction of debt, grants to individuals, travel expenses, attendance at conferences or seminars, and programs that fall under government funding categories such as operating expenses for public schools or police/fire protection. Please note that religious organizations solely focused on furthering religion or engaging in political activities will not be considered for funding by the foundation.
