Angel Charity for Children Opportunity Grant
This funding opportunity provides financial support to nonprofit organizations in Pima County, Arizona, that serve children under 18, addressing their diverse needs without discrimination.
Angel Charity for Children, Inc. is a nonprofit organization comprised of 250 dedicated volunteers whose mission is to enhance the lives of children in Pima County, Arizona. Over its 43-year history, the organization has raised nearly $35 million, benefiting more than 1.2 million children through support of 152 community projects. Each year, beneficiaries are selected by the General Membership, and grants are awarded to programs that align with the charity's goals to directly improve children's quality of life in the local area. The 2026 Opportunity Grant program offers funding between $10,000 and $75,000 for initiatives that benefit children under the age of 18 in Pima County. Eligible uses of the grant include the purchase of equipment, programmatic expenses, or a combination of both. This flexibility allows organizations to meet diverse needs, from infrastructure to direct services. Only nonprofit agencies that have maintained IRS tax-exempt status for a minimum of three years are eligible to apply. However, organizations that received funding in the prior year are not eligible in the current cycle. Private operating foundations are eligible, while private non-operating foundations are not. Applications must be submitted via the Reviewr online platform by 6:00 PM on Thursday, January 8, 2026. All necessary attachments must be uploaded, and each file should be clearly labeled with the applicant organization's name. Selected applicants will receive guidance from assigned liaisons who help prepare them for in-person presentations to the Charity Selection Committee in early February. These sessions are scheduled for February 3โ5, 2026, and are a required part of the review process. Presentations should convey the agencyโs mission, the relevance of its services, the purpose of the funding request, and the urgency of its needs. Handouts are not permitted, but PowerPoint presentations are allowed, provided they meet size and content guidelines. All selected agencies must email their presentation by midnight on January 29, 2026, and bring a backup flash drive. Finalists will be notified by March 4, 2026, following committee review and a general membership vote. Awards will be disbursed by May 2026, and recipients are expected to participate in a future Angel Charity General Meeting to be introduced to the membership. The program does not have a recurring annual schedule, and application cycles are determined annually.
