Micro Grants

The Orlando Magic Youth Foundation (OMYF) Micro Grant Program is a targeted funding initiative established by the foundation to empower grassroots efforts dedicated to youth development in Central Florida. The Micro Grant Program is designed for smaller organizations with an operational budget under $500,000. It provides financial assistance of up to $10,000 to projects that align with one or more of OMYF’s core pillars: arts, education, health and wellness, and homelessness. These thematic areas reflect the foundation’s strategic priorities for improving youth outcomes across the region. Eligible applicants must hold 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt status and have demonstrated at least one full year of program services with measurable outcomes. Additionally, they must serve youth or families with children within one or more of the following Florida counties: Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Brevard, Lake, or Volusia. A current financial audit is required, and organizations must show a stable financial position. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with no set deadline. However, submissions are reviewed quarterly: applications submitted from October to December are awarded in mid-January, those from January to March are awarded in mid-April, submissions from April to June receive awards in mid-July, and applications submitted between July and September are awarded in mid-October. The application process is straightforward and designed to support accessibility for smaller nonprofits.
