Meet the Moment Grant

The Delaware Community Foundation (DCF) is offering the “Meet the Moment” grant opportunity to support nonprofit organizations in Delaware that are navigating complex challenges and seeking to sustain or enhance their impact. These grants are designed to help nonprofits address urgent needs, develop strategic responses, and advance their missions amid shifts in funding sources, donor priorities, and legal environments. The initiative reflects DCF’s broader mission to promote opportunity and equity across Delaware communities. Organizations may request funding of up to $20,000 to support initiatives in several key areas. These include contingency planning and capacity assessments, financial forecasting with professional assistance, storytelling and messaging development for fundraising or advocacy, board engagement strategies including crisis protocols, and planning for potential mergers or closures. The DCF encourages applicants to define their own needs and action plans, recognizing that this list of focus areas is suggestive rather than exhaustive. This funding opportunity is part of DCF’s broader effort to support Delaware nonprofits, largely financed through donor advised funds. Grants such as these are awarded to organizations that demonstrate clarity in purpose and readiness to implement change. The DCF anticipates investing up to $425,000 through this particular opportunity. Applications must be submitted by May 30, 2025, at 11:59 PM. Late submissions will not be considered. The application form is available through DCF’s grant management system.
