2025 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF 2025)

The 2025 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF 2025) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), issued by the U.S. Embassy in Morocco, invites proposals from U.S. government-sponsored exchange program alumni. This fund supports projects that address key priorities in Morocco, including climate adaptation, economic prosperity, digital transformation, education, and governance. The aim is to leverage alumni expertise to create innovative solutions for global and community challenges. This opportunity is open exclusively to teams of at least two non-U.S. citizen alumni who have participated in U.S. government-funded exchange programs. U.S. citizen alumni may participate in the projects but cannot lead or submit proposals. Proposals must be submitted by January 31, 2025, via email to RabatGrants@state.gov. Selected projects will be funded between $5,000 and $35,000, with a total budget of $35,000 available for up to two awards. Projects must be implemented outside the U.S. and completed within 12 months. The application package must include mandatory forms such as SF-424, SF-424A, and SF-424B, a detailed project proposal, budget narrative, and resumes of key personnel. The proposal must clearly outline project goals, target audience, and impact, and include a monitoring and evaluation plan. Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate how their projects will support equity and engage underserved communities. Proposals involving duplicative efforts, certain prohibited activities (e.g., lobbying or fundraising), or ineligible costs will not be considered. Applications will be reviewed on criteria including feasibility, organizational capacity, alignment with objectives, budget justification, monitoring and evaluation plans, sustainability, and support for equity. Projects are expected to result in measurable improvements such as increased knowledge, enhanced community capacity, or improved services. Selected projects will be announced following a competitive review process. Recipients must comply with U.S. government reporting requirements, including regular financial and performance updates.
