Build Partner Capabilities to Counter the Russian Federations Chemical and Biological Threats
This funding opportunity provides financial support to organizations working to strengthen compliance and security measures against chemical and biological threats linked to the Russian Federation, targeting manufacturers, distributors, and researchers in relevant industries.
The United States has assessed that the Russian Federation has used chemical weapons in assassination attempts in the U.K. and Russia, and on the battlefield in Ukraine. In response, the U.S. government has imposed trade restrictions and/or sanctions against specific entities believed to be associated with the Russian Federations Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) programs. This has included at least 25 entities located throughout Russia and Western Europe.
