GOYFF SF27 Child Abuse Prevention License Plate Grant
This funding opportunity provides financial support to Arizona-based nonprofit organizations and community groups focused on preventing child abuse and supporting affected families through trauma-informed programs and advocacy efforts.
The GOYFF SF27 Child Abuse Prevention License Plate Grant is administered by the Arizona Governor's Office of Youth, Faith and Family (GOYFF) under the leadership of Governor Katie Hobbs. This funding opportunity is issued pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes § 28-2351 and § 41-109 and is focused on supporting trauma-informed primary prevention and advocacy programs that protect children from abuse and neglect throughout the state. The grant program is funded through revenues generated from the sale of specialized Child Abuse Prevention license plates in Arizona. These funds are allocated specifically for the promotion and provision of evidence-informed services that prevent child abuse in all its forms, as well as support victims and families impacted by abuse. The purpose of this grant program is to bolster the work of community-based organizations, family advocacy centers, and other local institutions that have demonstrated experience and success in preventing abuse and strengthening family systems. The funding is intended to support both general and program-specific activities. Applicants seeking general operating support must articulate how the funds will help advance their mission and ongoing work related to child abuse prevention or advocacy. Those applying for program-specific funding must focus on a particular project, detailing its intended impact, the need it addresses, and the population it targets. Applicants must be located in Arizona and be nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, or they must be partnered with an organization that holds such status, acting as a fiscal agent. Eligible entities include Arizona-based nonprofits, child and family advocacy centers, tribal nations or communities, and partnerships among such groups. Organizations using a fiscal sponsor must provide financial documentation for both entities, and those without their own 501(c)(3) status may only receive funding for up to three years unless they obtain tax-exempt status within that period. Applicants must also have at least two years of service experience in relevant work to qualify. Grant funds may be used to support trauma-informed, family-centered, and strengths-based prevention programs. All programs must adhere to evidence-based or evidence-informed models. The GOYFF strongly encourages applicants to demonstrate collaboration with community partnerships and agencies such as the Arizona Department of Child Safety. The grant awards are anticipated to range between $15,000 and $25,000 per recipient, with a total of approximately $100,000 in state funding expected to be available for distribution in the first year of the program. This is a one-year contract with the potential for renewal for an additional year, contingent on the availability of funds and satisfactory performance. All applications must be submitted through the State of Arizona’s web-based grants management system, the Euna Grants Subrecipient Portal (formerly eCivis). The application portal will open on February 6, 2026, and the deadline for submission is 5:00 PM Arizona time on March 20, 2026. A non-mandatory pre-application conference will be held on February 20, 2026, at 10:30 AM (Phoenix time), and applicants are encouraged to attend for additional guidance. Award announcements are expected on June 26, 2026. Questions regarding the solicitation should be directed to Shane Richardson, Procurement Manager, at [email protected]. All communications must be sent via email. The grant is not recurring and does not require cost sharing or matching contributions. Award decisions will consider compliance with grant requirements, program impact, and organizational capacity. Renewals will be evaluated based on performance metrics, fiscal health, and sustainability planning.
