The Wayne County Children’s Resource Fund, managed by the Wayne County Community Foundation, invites proposals from nonprofits serving youth in Wayne County, Ohio. This grant program is dedicated to removing barriers that may hinder children from leading meaningful and productive lives, including challenges such as poverty, discrimination, drug exposure, and low self-confidence.
Grants are available for programs and capital projects that directly benefit youth. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofits, public educational institutions, and government agencies. Other groups like youth clubs or PTAs may apply if affiliated with a qualifying parent organization. Awards typically range from $2,000 to $10,000, and all funds must be used within one year of receipt.
Applications must be submitted through the Foundation’s Online Grant Portal by September 1 each year. Grants are awarded by December 1. Projects must present a clear plan, show impact, and align with the fund’s purpose. Collaboration among organizations is highly encouraged. The Foundation does not fund scholarships, religious or political activities, deficit coverage, or general appeals.
