Youth and Families in South Dakota

The Liv to Give Grant is a philanthropic initiative of Liv Hospitality, LLC, aimed at supporting nonprofit organizations operating in South Dakota’s Black Hills region, with a focus on Rapid City and Deadwood. Administered through the Black Hills Area Community Foundation, the grant prioritizes programs that serve youth and families, particularly those that deliver positive impact to children in the local community. This grant program supports a wide range of funding areas and awards up to $2,500 per grant. A committee from Liv Hospitality evaluates all submitted applications and makes the final funding decisions. While the grant is open to various types of projects, special consideration is given to initiatives that directly benefit children. Eligible applicants must be IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charities in good standing and must operate within the Black Hills region. Priority will be given to organizations located in or serving Rapid City and Deadwood. Only organizations that meet this regional and tax-exempt status criteria will be considered for funding. The 2025 grant cycle opened on March 1, 2025, and applications must be submitted by April 13, 2025. New applicants must create an account in the foundation’s grant application portal to submit a proposal.
