Funding Arts Broward announces Education Grants

Funding Arts Broward, Inc. (FAB) offers grants to enrich the cultural landscape of Broward County by supporting visual and performing arts organizations. The goal is to fund innovative performances, exhibitions, and productions that engage audiences and promote art appreciation. FAB also provides Education Grants for arts education programs targeting grades K-12, focusing on skill acquisition and art appreciation. The annual grant process is competitive, with eligibility limited to nonprofit arts organizations based in Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade counties that present programs in Broward County. Applicants are selected through a rigorous screening process by member volunteers, with final decisions made by a majority vote of the membership. For Visual and Performing Arts Grants, organizations may request up to $15,000 if their annual budget exceeds $500,000, up to $12,500 if the budget is between $100,000 and $500,000, and up to $7,500 if the budget is under $100,000. Organizations with annual revenue below $50,000 are not eligible. Each organization may submit only one grant application per category but can apply for both a Visual and Performing Arts Grant and an Education Grant. FAB Education Grants are available for K-12 programs, with a maximum grant of $10,000, or $7,500 for organizations with budgets below $100,000. Programs funded must be delivered between January 1 and December 31, 2026. A new pre-qualification process requires organizations to submit a Pre-qualification Form by December 9, 2024, to determine eligibility before completing the grant application. The full grant application will open on October 18, 2024, with a deadline of January 27, 2025, by 10:00 pm. Only pre-qualified applicants will be considered for funding.
